In Venice many buildings jut out over the street at the first floor level. This preserves the width of the street but gives the buildings more space on the upper floors. This stone measurement, which can be seen in the building in Calle del Paradiso, shows the maximum that the first floor was allowed to stick out into the street.
Casino di Venezia
The casino in Venice is housed in the palazzo Ca' Vendramin Calergi on the Grand Canal. The Palazzo also contains the Wagner Museum as the composer spent the last winter of his life living here.
House of Paolo Veronese
Veronese lived in Venice from 1553 until his death in 1588. This is apparently the house where he lived.
