Casa Mattiazzi
'Casa Mattiazzi di Pecher Heldrun' is a tiny shop near the Guglie bridge with a very friendly owner. Buy wine (including prosecco) by the litre from a barrel or choose from the bottles on the shelves. The wine by the litre is excellent and very cheap.

Our stay in Venice was a beautiful and joyful adventure in the art, history and wine culture that Venice has to offer. On the wine side, the most entertaining discovery was the "Casa Mattiazzi" and Alberto Mattiazzi the friendliest owner and wine "intenditore" ever! The wine quality and company was truly "indimenticabile"! We highly recommend visiting Casa Mattiazzi in Cannaregio to test the excellent wines and hear about the local history that goes with them from Alberto! Salute!)
