Venice is renowned for the beauty of its setting, its architecture and its artworks. The city in its entirety is listed as World Heritage Site, along with its lagoon.

Take a public water boat. Sit in the open area (if not available, wait for the place, take day tickets so you don't need to get down). Sit, relax, soak in and enjoy Venice's essence.

If in Venice for romance, think about taking a gondola ride around some of this fascinating network of canals. If not, take the public transport to get around - less costly but still the same beauty!

Most of these buildings date from the 13th to the 18th centuries and pose a Venetian-Gothic style. The best way to see these beautiful buildings is to travel by the vaporetto, the water bus.

Unlimited pass for 1-3 days on vaporetos is the best investment during the stay here. Also it allows you to swim over to the other neighboring islands

To do: take the No.1 vaporetto ACTV linea 1 from Piazzale Roma to Piazza San Marco. To avoid crowd: Go in the late afternoon, as at this time of day, most people travel in the other direction.

Boats work 24H. You can ride in the evening and in the night. It’s very special atmosphere here) Make sure to take warm clothes.

Locally called as Canalazzo. The best way to see the beautiful buildings along the canal is to travel by the vaporetto, the water bus. There are a few halal kebab and takeaway outlets.

Just relax and enjoy the stunning architecture. Sit outside to feel the energy.

Take the gondola ride in the canal . It is a must. Expensive: yes, cost 80€ before 7pm and 100 € after 7pm

A Venice trip won’t ever be complete without going to the Grand Canal where you can ride water taxis. Have the best time riding vaporettos and gondolas (you can bargain w/ rates). Best during sunset.

The main tourist spot for Venice, with Rialto bridge and waterside restaurants. Be careful because you’ll be charged extra in these parts ;)

A bit too commercial nowadays, also very dirty and graffiti everywhere, very expensive especially when the cruise shops are in.no more haggling gondola prices it's €80 fixed rate per boat!!!!

No trip to Venice would be complete without a Gondola ride on the Grand Canal. Be sure to haggle the price!

Wonderful to take the water bus line 1 and go along all the canal with all the beautiful houses, churches and palaces.

The best way to enjoy is take a personal boat this way you don't have to be on a larger one with wall to wall people. They all looked like sardines. :)

A great way to get around. Note that it can be a bit choppy when you get close to the ends but it's normally pretty smooth.

If it's windy, that much boat trip and sea may make you feel a little bit sick 😅 but great view though, the houses are really really in the sea!
