Festa di San Pietro di Castello
This festa takes place in San Pietro, the home of the first cathedral in Venice, a small island right on the tail of Venice, near the Lido.
This festa has been going on for 213 years and takes place annually in June.
The programme includes musical evenings and afternoons of activities for children. There will also be rowing races and the usual food stands with typical Venetian fare.
There will also be guided tours of the Basilica di San Pietro di Castello and for the first time, also the cloister.

Artichoke Festival on Sant'Erasmo
This is a celebration of the artichoke harvest. Take part and enjoy a huge choice of food make from artichokes!
Festa della Madonna di Marina a Malamocco
A week-long festival on the Lido. Food, dancing, food and second-hand stalls and rowing regattas.
Festa di San Giacomo da l'Orio
This is the longest local Festa in Venice - lasting about 10 days!
There is the usual Venetian food and live music every night.
Festa di Sant'Antonio a S.Francesco della Vigna
The first outdoor festival of the year takes place in June and usually lasts a week.
Each night from 7pm the 'cucina' will be open. You can choose from all these typical Venetian dishes:
First Course:
Bigoi in salsa, Pasta e fasioi, Pasticci vari, Gnocchi ... and others according to the whim of the cooks, as well as vegetarian dishes.
Second Course:
Mixed fried fish, ribs, sausages, roast chicken, polenta with mushroom and cheese, chips - various vegetable side dishes - a selection of desserts.

Festa di Sant'Erasmo
This Festa takes place on the island of Sant'Erasmo - usually at the end of May. There is a huge barbecue with local Venetian specialities, market stalls including locally grown produce, a regatta and music.
Must Wine Festival
Taking place annually on the first Sunday in October, this festival celebrates the wine made on the island of Sant'Erasmo. Buy a bottle of the sweet must wine for about 10 Euros. There is also barbequed food, drinks, stalls selling locally produced products such as honey, vegetables and plants, games, donkey rides, and much more.
