Chioggia (pronounced kee-od-ja) is a mini version of Venice but attached to the mainland. It is renowned for delicious fish restaurants.

To get to Chioggia, the fastest way is by bus from Piazzale Roma but the most adventurous and picturesque is to take a vaporetto to the Lido, a bus from outside the vaporetto stop to Pellestrina (the bus goes onto a ferry to get there) and another vaporetto at the end of the line to finally reach Chioggia.
