San Giacomo in Palude
San Giacomo in Paludo is an island of 12.496 m�. There used to be a monastery on the island which was abbandoned in 1440 and until 1961 it was used as a military post. It is now abandoned.

Burano is about a 40 minute boat ride from Venice. Take the number 12 from Fondamente Nove. The island is famous for lace making.
Cason Montiron
Cason Montiron is a small island of the Venetian Lagoon.
Uninhabited, it covers 1,630 m² and is situated in front of the western embankment of Dogà Valley, a fish farm at the northern end of the Venetian Lagoon.

Chioggia
Chioggia (pronounced kee-od-ja) is a mini version of Venice but attached to the mainland. It is renowned for delicious fish restaurants.
To get to Chioggia, the fastest way is by bus from Piazzale Roma but the most adventurous and picturesque is to take a vaporetto to the Lido, a bus from outside the vaporetto stop to Pellestrina (the bus goes onto a ferry to get there) and another vaporetto at the end of the line to finally reach Chioggia.

Crevan
Crevan is an island in the Venetian Lagoon located at the southern end of the Burano marshes. It covers an area of about 0.4680 hectares, of which 377 m2 have been built on.
Giudecca
Giudecca is the island to the south of Venice which can be seen from Zattere. At 0.59 km� it is the 5th largest group of islands in the lagoon.

San Secondo is a small deserted island near the Liberty Bridge which connects Venice to the mainland.
Isola dei Laghi
The "island of the lakes" is an island (8.5 ha in area) of the Venetian Lagoon. It is located immediately north of Mazzorbetto from which it is separated by a narrow canal called Canale del Taglio.
