Venice EmpireBars
In Venice you can usually eat in a bar in the evening. They will have a selection of 'cicchetti' (pronounced chicketti) on the bar which are like Venetian tapas.

Ai Rusteghi
Great for wine buffs. Well-hidden bar in a small campo near Rialto. Very pricey - a glass of wine starts from 5 Euros - but they have a wide selection and knowledgeable staff. Not great for vegetarians - decorated with large hunks of meat hanging from the ceiling. No spritz.
All'Arco
Arco is a traditional cichetteria - it has Venetian bar snacks. Useful for grabbing a quick lunch.
