Fresh vegetables and fruit from the local islands of San Erasmo and Vignole are on offer, as well as imports from the Mediterranean and beyond.

It’s one of the few places you can find the rare “castraure,” a special artichoke that grows only on Sant’Erasmo island in the lagoon.

MUST go in Venice. Get some raw seafood and cook it for lunch/dinner. Seafoods in Venice are fresh and one of the best I've eaten in my life. Great cheap way to fill ones tummy
