Caffè Florian
Map
The most famous cafe in Venice and the oldest in Italy. Florian's is in Saint Mark's Square. You can sit at a table outside (or inside in the Winter) and have an extremely expensive drink and soak up the atmosphere and music. Alternatively, you can stand at the bar, have a coffee and pay a more sensible price with the locals.

Florian is a must-stop whilst in Venice. Very expensive, but worth it for a quick lunch & people watching. Recommend the Pasta e faglioli Florian & pomegranate Bellini (seasonal). Exceptional service.

Impossible to come to Venezia and not to go to Florian Caffè. Order a tea or a cappuccino, with ice creams or pastries and listen the live classic music. It is out of time !

A great place to pop too for an afternoon high tea, the food is divine. I'd recommend a tea to go with your meal as the coffee is a bit over extracted here. Great service! And they do Macaroons!

Loved their after noon tea😍. Very nice design and music 🎶 however it’s June now and there wasn’t air conditioning in the indoor section so set outside at least there’s ventilation

The hot chocolate is incredible but extremely rich! The apple tart was also delicious. Its a bit costly but so worth it, listening to the amazing musicians.

A very beautiful historic cafe with great quality, very friendly Service and classical live music. Despite the high prices you should visit it at least once in your life.

Great place for afternoon drinks. It's a must when in Venice. Beware as there is a 6 euros surcharge per person during the afternoon for the music. You don't know until the bill is at your table.

The loveliest atmosphere, the most exceptional service, in Italy's (and one of the world's as well) most impressive place! The waiters are Gentlemen, every detail has its "Why". A place like no other.

The prices are up to the Moon, but desserts are totally worth it. Try to be there when the sun is up, or you might get cold while you eat your ice cream whipped cream dream.

I love it, 300s years of cafe experience. We had the three balls of ice cream, espresso macchiato, tiramisu Malbank& iced coffee. Be aware it’s very very expensive but the history & vibe are worth it.

Because of the history&the opulent ambient, take sometime out and have coffee&croissant here.May be pricey but worth it.Nice tins of tea to take home as souveniers

Cafe Florian is a place you must visit in Venice - preferably once during the day, and once at night when the live music begins. Overall, an unforgettable experience.

Established in 1720, this is a must for a cafe latte remember to order latte macchiato otherwise you'll just get coffee and some milk on the side!

This historic cafe has both indoor and piazza seating, and is one of Venices most famous tourist spots. The food is excellent and the cakes are first class. However when its busy service can be slow.

Turistic place at Piazza San Marco, too pricy they even charge you live music per song (each 6 euro) but best coffee ever. Tasty sandwiches and quiche

Very good, but very expensive! Be aware of the music surcharge: €6 per person. For two non-alcoholic drinks our bill was €37! Good location and service, and beautiful interiors.

Nice place to relax for a couple of hours. The offer good food and coffee. I would suggest cappuccino and hot chocolate. It is expensive (one cup around 10 euros) and they'll charge you 6 for music.
Tip by Colin Charles on Saturday the 6 of September, 2014 at 3:19 pm
Yes there's a €6/person cover charge. However the views are awesome, the music is great - just get with it. Portions are small. Get a bottle of house prosecco. Enjoy your time there.

Home of the $20 cappuccino! Just ignore the bill and enjoy the experience of listening to music and people/pigeon watching on San Marco at the oldest coffee shop in Venice
