Small trattoria on Strada Nova. There are very few tables so it is worth booking in advance. Alternatively you can stand at the bar and have an 'ombra' (small glass of wine) and try the polpette (meat balls) that they are famous for.

Here you can find the most awesome "polpette" ever! (Meat balls) enjoy it with a little glass of red or white wine! I'm local and really, the most awesome meat balls!

By the gods of the sun and the moon, this magical Trattoria is home to the most amazing fried ball to touch planet earth. Stand at the bar, order your polpette balls and red wine!

The meatballs are a must try here. The food is excellent and the wine goes well. The staff are friendly, intimate dining experience and great value for money.

Try their polpette and squid ink pasta. Baby octopus with tomato sauce served with polenta are tasty but less than you can expect!

Mostly seafood in this cute little Osteria in the heart of Canarregio. My basilicum pesto pasta was tasty and rich in flavours. Small portions, meant as tapas mostly.

Old school trattoria. Ideal for some cheeky cicchetti and drinks by the bar. Sitting and menu also available. A bit pricey.

Taste is okay, very traditional, need to reserve a table. Generally you can find seafoods pasta or plate. Locals choose here and very busy place.

One of the oldest Trattorias in Venice for the locals. Warm environment, good prices, friendly staff. You may want to reserve a table cause it's hard to find one.Try the polpetes & the anchovies pasta!

A typical Venetian "bacaro": a bar simply furnished with wooden tables and benche.Try a glass of prosecco, or a glass of spritz, and the "polpettine"! You'll love it!

Friendliest service we had in Venice, fantastic clams and squid as well as being cheaper than the local restaurants!

One of the oldest Trattorias in Venice with some of the best meatballs (polpette) in the city. All for only €1.50!

Polpetta was really great! But you need to reserve table in 1-2 days if you want dinner here.

Polpette is an absolutely must have as starter. Fritura mista and spaghetti busara, just delicious.

Try the "polpetta" at the desk with a glass of red wine! So great!

The only spot in Venice that would not accept credit cards! The portions were tiny small and we had to ask for a receipt! At the end they offered a glass of grappa. One glass for two people!

Confusing method to try and get a seat, which I still don't understand, however it was worth the pain.
