The Secret Itinerary through the Doge's Palace covers the rooms and chambers where the delicate work of some of the most important bodies in the Venetian administration was carried out. It lasts about an hour and a quarter. The tour offers an interesting insight into the civil and political history of the city, its public organisations and administration of justice. The visit must be pre booked, and can only take place at certain times and conditions and in the company of a special tour guide who will explain all features of each individual room.

The tour runs every day apart from Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Booking (at least 2 days in advance) is required.

Tour in Italian at 9.30 am and 11.10 am.
Tour in English at 9.55 am, 10.45 am and 11.35 am.
Tour in French at 10.20 am, midday.
