Festa di Sant'Erasmo

This Festa takes place on the island of Sant'Erasmo - usually at the end of May. There is a huge barbecue with local Venetian specialities, market stalls including locally grown produce, a regatta and music.

This is the programme from 2013 (it is likely to be similar in future years):
11am - Mass in the church.
11.30am - Opening of the market selling local vegetables.
2pm - Children's games in the square.
4pm - Junior and senior rowing races.
5.30pm - Junior rowing races.
6pm - Circus skill demonstration.
6.15pm - Women's rowing races.
7pm - Men's rowing races.
8pm - Live music.

Address: To reach the island, take the number 13 from Fondamenta Nove. For the festa, get off at 'Chiesa' - it will be obvious when you have arrived as the boat stops in front of the square where the festa takes place.
