Definitely worth stopping here for either lunch or dinner. We had dinner at Taverna San Lio 2 week ago on our second night in Venice. The location in Castello is pretty busy due to proximity to the tourist sights in San Marco and all the souvenir stores nearby. We selected the gnocchi and the pasta di mare (seafood) for our entrees with a local cabernet wine. Service and atmosphere were good, and the chefs prepare the selections from scratch. Everything was delicious and genuinely Venetian.

Great setting in in a busy thoroughfare. Friendly service and nice pizza. There is seating inside, but it's nicer to sit out with all the busy action.

Went there for dinner. The pasta was way over salted, and the main of prawns and scampi was saltier than I preferred but pretty average otherwise. The service was on the slow side so this might not be the place for a quick dinner. Overall it was an okay experience.
